Croutons

This recipe is such a cinch! And everyone will think you’re totally awesome for making you own gluten-free croutons! Here it is:


**Update- For more of a garlic infused crouton: In a small bowl, crush 2 cloves of garlic into 2 or 3 Tbsp olive oil or a half and half mixture of olive oil and Earth Balance butter. Toss the croutons in the garlic infused oil. Sprinkle generously with salt, pepper, and parsley. Bake as directed below.

Ingredients
  • 5 slices of gluten free bread (I used Udi's brand)
  • Roughly 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp garlic powder, or to taste
  • salt
  • pepper
  • parsley
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Slice the bread into small cubes and transfer to baking sheet.
  3. Drizzle on the olive oil.
  4. Next add the garlic powder and then sprinkle generously with salt, pepper, parsley, and any other desired spices.
  5. Toss the croutons with your hands to coat with all those yummy spices.
  6. Arrange them in a single layer then bake about 5 minutes, or until browned and crispy.
