My Creamy Dreamy Green Smoothie

green smoothie

Yes, I do realize the name is kind of corny but I was really having trouble naming it! The name “Green Smoothie” seems so boring and not very appetizing so I wanted to give it some excitement. It might not be the greatest name ever, but it’s what I ended up with! … and besides, it is creamy and dreamy 🙂

I’ve been drinking green smoothies for well over a year now. I find they are filling, fast, and a good way to get all of your fruits and veggies in. However, I’m a bit picky about my smoothies – they have to be somewhat sweet and can’t have a strong veggie taste. I also don’t like cucumbers or celery, 2 very common ingredients in green smoothies.

I know some of you might be tempted to leave out to avocado but please don’t! It’s what gives the smoothie it’s creamy texture and since it’s only 1/4 of the avocado it only adds about 80 calories, is the healthy kind of fat, and is full of vitamin K which helps the blood clot properly. Also, if it’s not sweet enough for you add a peeled kiwi. I’m sure you’ll get hooked just liked me 🙂
