This easy keto taco meat recipe is perfect for, not only Taco Tuesday, but for taco salads, burrito bowls, and more!*Note- This recipe is for 1 lb of beef, but can easily be doubled or tripled.
Heat the avocado or olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the beef and cook until browned, breaking up the meat with a wooden spoon as it cooks. Drain off fat if desired.
Stir in all of the taco seasoning ingredients and the water into the beef. If desired, stir in one of the optional add-ins for added flair.
Bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
Notes
The taco seasoning is equal to 1 standard package of taco seasoning and is enough for 1 lb of beef.
The taco seasoning can be made in large batches and stored in an airtight container in your spice cabinet for up to 6 months. Then, use 2 Tbsp. + ½ tsp. of seasoning per pound of beef or in any recipe calling for a packet of taco seasoning.
Be aware that if you use any add-ins, they will add to the carb count.
